Proposed Research and Development
Proposed Research and Development
A portion of the funds raised by Botala were allocated in its Initial Public Offer (Prospectus) to Research and Development of renewable energy, including the following activities:
- Develop conceptual plans and site layouts.
- Economic modelling.
- Emissions modelling.
- Environmental surveys, baseline studies, and statutory approvals.
- Initial site infrastructure, fencing and access roads.
- Engineering and project management of concept development for cbm processing and conditioning for different end users.
- Engineering and project management of solar/gas hybrid designs.
- Investigative studies exploring the use of batteries.
Investors are cautioned not to make an investment decision in respect of Botala based on the proposals for the Serowe Energy Hub or Leupane Energy Hub and Industrial Park given they are not Botala’s main undertaking and are early-stage. Minimal funds have been attributed to them, sufficient only to undertake initial research and development rather than completing construction of these projects. They may not proceed and dependent upon various contingencies, including the ability of Botala to secure site(s) and the success of the Serowe Project. The results and findings of the research and development work on the Serowe Energy Hub and Leupane Energy Hub and Industrial Park may not warrant any further expenditure by Botala on these projects. Additional details and risks are set out in Botala’s prospectus.
